Using Google's Gemini AI and Vonage's real-time Video API, you'll go from idea to working demo in a single day. Whether you're imagining a virtual try-on experience or an AI stylist.

Prize:

  • 1st — $250 a person

  • 2nd — $150 a person

  • 3rd — $75 a person

  • Best Use of AI/API — $100/person

Scoring of Entries. A panel of individuals with relevant expertise will be responsible for judging Entries (“Judges”). The Entries will be judged according to the five (5) criteria set forth below; with each category receiving up to 5 points each (for a total 25 points).

  • Functionality: How well the project meets the requirements and objectives.

  • Creativity: The level of originality, creativity and fun in the design and implementation.

  • User Experience: Ease of use and intuitiveness of the user interface.

  • Code Quality: Readability, structure, and documentation of the code.

  • Use of Vonage APIs:  Effective and seamless integration of Vonage Communication APIs.

The Entry that earns the highest overall score will win. The decisions of the judges will be final. In the event of a tie, judges will deliberate to determine the winner. Judging will take place on September 12th between 2-3pm EST. The winner will be selected based on the above points criteria, as well as being able to show creativity, technical execution, and potential for future development. Submissions should showcase innovative thinking in how the problem is approached and demonstrate thoughtful use of multiple Vonage APIs where applicable. We are looking for projects that do not just work, but also have the potential to grow into something larger and more impactful over time. A strong entry will show evidence that the participant has considered both the immediate functionality and the long-term possibilities of their solution.

All submissions must include a publicly accessible GitHub repository containing the full source code. This ensures the work is original, functional, and goes beyond a theoretical concept. Projects that exist only as ideas or were quickly generated with minimal effort, such as relying solely on ChatGPT without meaningful implementation, will be disqualified. The evaluation will focus on the depth of thought put into solving the problem, the completeness of the implementation, and how effectively the Vonage APIs are integrated to create a compelling and practical solution. Entries may be subject to a due diligence review at any time for eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Determination of eligibility and compliance is at the sole discretion of Sponsor. The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entry if the Entry or a Participant or a Participant’s team does not comply with these Official Rules.
